October 1, 2009 Shriekfreak Quarterly will release its 5th issue, which will include Jeff Carroll’s new comic strip “What Happens on Negro Mountain”. With hot illustrations by Stacy Williams the strip focuses on the paranormal.

Negro Mountain is located on boarder, which divided the Colonial North and South most popularly known as the Mason Dixon Line. The Mountain was named “Negro” because an Africa Slave single handedly fought off the attackers to protect settlers. Now, Negro Mountain is said to be protected by the spirit of the African. The saying is Negro Mountain where bad things happen to bad people. When negative energy meets with the energy resting in Negro Mountain the out come is always the same The Mountain wins. ShriekFreak Quarterly is a new Horror Magazine that debuted on October 1st 2008. Our Debut Issue was a 64 page B&W Saddle-Stitched mag with a full color cover.

ShriekFreak Quarterly focuses on areas of horror fandom practically forgotten by other magazines. Alongside the typical movie material, ShriekFreak will tackle comic books, music (horror-punk, goth, etc...), books, role-playing games, conventions and other horror-geek material. Each issue will feature the gallery of an up and coming horror artist, original short fiction and a short horror comic in addition to news and reviews. We are working to get a few interviews from small budget horror directors and self published horror writers, as well as other talented individuals in the horror genre that you may have never heard of. When a kid, Cory goes to visit a friend, Ronald at College during Homecoming weekend also referred to as “HELLWEEKEND”. HELL WEEKEND is the weekend the College allows Fraternities and Sororities to pledge new members. Once on campus Cory finds himself pushed off on Ronald’s older roommate Herb who is a Theology major and Celibate Vegetarian. Ronald who is busy pledging a Fraternity who unbeknown to him is a Brotherhood of Vampires. The Vamps lead by an attractive thug type guy who is able to get any girl he wants even Herbs girlfriend. When Cory confronts Ronald over the Fraternities gang like behavior Herb and Cory realize that, it is up to them to save Ronald and the campus. So, when students start missing and Homecoming activities are confined to the campus Cory and Herb take action.

Hip Hop Comix-N-Flix is proud to announces the sell of extra copies of their first comic book IMANI the KILLER. After a busy summer of promotion special limited edition autographed comics of Imani the Killer issue 1 are now available online at Pyramid Books (http://www.pyramidbooks.net/). These books have no bar codes and will defiantly be collector’s items.

The Tour: Imani the Killer was finished in May and made its debut in Philadelphia at the East Coast Black Age of Comic Convention (ECBACC). It went on from there where it toured New Jersey for an in store signing at A & S Comics, Teaneck, NJ then to New York for the Harlem Book Fair from there it returned to South Florida for Florida Supercon. The last two stops on the tour was Comic Oasis in Las Vegas and the National Hip Hop Political convention. It was a fun tour and we made a lot of fans and sold a lot of comic books.
IMANI the KILLER brings back the one woman (Imani) who can strike fear into the hearts of disrespectful misogynistic men who molest, rape and kill woman with no problem. Imani Hip Hop’s most popular rape victim was convicted for the murder of 11 men and women. All of them whom where guilty of only one thing MISOGYNY! After killing the 3 men who victimized her she vowed to never let men take advantage of her or any other women again. She was once susceptible to the lure of players but now she is hip to their game and the world will never be the same.

The film told the story of Imani who is fired from a job that provides for her and her man, and she is threatened to lose all her comforts. Since they are were college students, her boyfriend feels they could move into the dorm. Unwilling to give up her luxuries she instead finds another man the type of man: who is willing to support a woman, A PLAYA! Not ready for the contained life of a cared for woman she becomes a victim or rape when the Playa feels he is being played. The film is set in the flashy Hip Hop world of bling, bling with cameos by the hottest poets and comics seen on HBO. Golddigger Killer was inspired by events of real women like Loraina Bobbit, who took revenge by cutting off her abusing husband’s penis. Also Clara Harris a Texas dentist who ran over her husband several times with her car. Working along the lines of Pam Grier’s “Foxy Brown” character.

Said STAR, host of the “Star and Bucwild” radio show, "everyone in Hip Hop should see this film”. GOLD DIGGER KILLER received 2 out of four stars and has been referred to numerous times on his morning show.Said Jeff Carroll, writer “Imani the Killer is just a simple manifestation of one of my wild thoughts. After doing promotion for my film Gold Digger Killer I was asked about writing a sequel and I said I would like to have Imani return to being a killer. This series is the manifestation of that dream.
